...I tend to go back to Project 8, maybe once a year, and either work on a new file, or continue my "main" file, but I hardly ever bother with Proving Grounds, despite them being very similar games. I think it would be cool, going through and doing a bunch of stuff in Proving Grounds. Of course, it's an extremely long, extremely hard game.

There are differences between Project 8 and PG, though. Project 8 definitely has "nicer" graphics, with a lot of white and blue, whereas PG was clearly going for a more "gritty" and "realistic" look, with browns and greys. Also, the Classic Modes on Project 8 were definitely more fun, with less stupid or confusing goals. To be fair, doing Classic Modes on P8 to Sick standard was great fun, and a VERY good time sink. Unlocking new areas in P8 was also slightly less confusing. The main thing that PG has over P8, is the newly introduced Hawk Mode, which was pretty cool. You collected coloured pellets, within a time limit, and Sick Mode required you (of course) to get all 75 in one combo. Wtf. Who makes these games?

Thoughts on all this?
