After dealing with god-like beings in the other Marvel movies, I'm content with a more down-to-Earth story. I did have to look up who the Red Guardian is. Too bad the movie didn't came out three years ago when it was more relevant One theory is that they're going to use it to springboard off a replacement Widow for Natasha (which happens a couple times in the comics), with one of the other graduates of the program that trained her taking on her legacy, or maybe just someone younger who discovers her history and is inspired by her to follow in her footsteps. If that's the case, this is extremely relevant because it's not really FOR Natasha as much as it is for whoever replaces her (which might be Yelena Belova or Ava Orlova). Or they could cross the streams a bit and use this as a way to introduce Jessica Drew into the MCU, since the Ultimate version of her used the Widow name at one point, and they might prefer that to calling her Spider-Woman.
