I've heard there's someone, and I've had years of people on CE complaining about the company, of course. It's in interesting video, but not as damning as I thought. I mean, the stuff he's describing, I've seen plenty of that stuff at several companies I've worked for (including the video game store I worked for, lulz). I thought his complaints would be...worse. Then again, this might just be SOME guy who worked for GameSpot, rather than THE guy.

Isn't the company about to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, anyway?

I don't know man. I kinda smell a rat here.

"I had to do these shady practices because other people were doing them too."
"This thing they did in 2012 was the begining of the end for me.... Later in 2018 I .."
"My employees called HR and made up a whole bunch of lies about me that weren't true! Then I quit before HR could investigate them because they were just so untrue!"
"They got on my case for the store not being safe, being dirty or failing to hit targets. Acted like that was the responsbility of the managers!"
"Every single week I felt like I was going to be fired and told to resign and I hated it... So I was there for 12 years."

It just kinda doesn't add up. Why didn't he just find another job? Why did his employees who he claimed he loved and love him call HR to make up lies about him?

Not defending Gamestop, I'm sure it's a shitty place to work. I've been in retail and it is an absolute nightmare.

But something about this guys' story and manipulative arguments don't set right to me.
