I once heard a woman say 'I don't watch Walking Dead because zombies aren't real'. I mean sure, but she may not watch any tv or at least ones that dip into sci fi and fantasy

Anime and manga are not realistic.
Neither of those things are realistic. While the changes to the human perspective are the key ingredients for the main characters' interactions, and thus their justification, it's not, strictly speaking, the same from the perspective of the plot or some sort of meta narrative in which it is all implied. And both situations are sort of lies in which the players control the gameplay, and that they manipulate the world around them, in order to pull off the optimal outcomes and almost and always get what they want, though that can sometimes not be the --- IRO-Bot will never die My robot will never die ...
