Earlier today, I watched most of his speech in Michigan, and it was pretty impressive.

He got the crowd fired up; he made himself look good and Obama look bad; he alternated between agressive and calm, as needed; he pushed the whole American first agenda that right-wing politicians often do; he knew exactly what to say to his audience.

People say he's a moron, and while that may be true, good speeches to large crowds and TV audiences usually win elections for candidates.
