It's a pretty big book, when you think about it. About 1,000 pages, very roughly.

Isn't the Bible that thing you hear quotes and verses out of to justify your hate or subjugation of others, regardless of the context or intention of the verse?

I'm currently reading it. I'm about 1400 pages in, about 400 more to go.
