I mean, given how shook so many are at the 3-7 (depending on country) numbers...wonder what some disaster movie level numbers would do to them?

If the death rate was 25% or higher, the rate of infection could presumably be worse too. At that point, it'd leave a permanent scar on humanity like the plagues of old... So yeah, I think there'd be more problems than toilet paper hoarding. Certain areas may have institute martial law with curfews. Let's say 50% of the population gets infected to some extent, and 25% of that 50% die. There are bound to be hot zones with empty houses that burglars will loot, crazy people robbing stores or getting into fights over resources. While society is pretty automated now, to the point we require less people for things to function, there'd still be gaps resulting from the sick and the dead not working.

Of those the 50% maybe.
