They're all completely selling out of like... Everything by noon ever day right now. I need to eat and shit too, my nephews need to eat and shit. My parents need to eat and shit. Why can't normal people eat and shit? The fuck we gonna do? I still have to go to work too, old people need their meds.

The one that got me was the rationing of milk at my grocery store. There were dozens of gallons of it, and no one looked like they were in some big hurry to get it.

Wtf? Why milk? It's perishable.

they had to ration some items because it got so bad, will have to make another store trip so i can have enough drinks within 2 more days (should be drinking tap water, but i only do that in an emergency).

I can't buy that much food at a time. My fridge is really goddamn small, and I buy two weeks of stuff at a time except for refrigerator perishables.

I'm down to two rolls of toilet paper. I have like 25 cans of Campbell's chunky soup(didn't panic buy that, I always keep a lot of it, eating it cold is a good, cheap, easy bit of protein in the middle of my shift at work). Trintenemac anything else is impossible.

I'm less worried about me, than I am my nephews and my parents.

Nah, around me, people are starting to hit them up too, lots of word of mouth about them having shit. Biggest Asian market and biggest Hispanic market both are getting hit just as hard.

The food supply in stores will probably stablize soon. Wuhan and Italy have had huge lockdowns and their grocery stores are doing fine. The US is one of the most food secure nations in the world. If Italy and China can manage the US can.

yeah you're not the typical grocery consumer lol

tho there aren't many typical grocery consumers atm. most people are buying anywhere from two to ten times the amount the normally do in a shopping trip - lotsa people buy food every day or two, and just keep some staples on-hand. currently, everybody is buying everything they eat lol
Yeah I usually go every couple of days. I work overnight and hit up winco or Walmart at 5am when I get off. Now the shops open at 6am, and have lines.

I'm very close to hitting up my coworkers and seeing if I can pay them for bits of things.

My venmo feed is depressing right now. Tons of transactions between friends all saying shit like tp, food, supplies, etc..

Very poorly. Even financially stable families are having a hard time finding stuff. This hurts the poor, the elderly, and kids the most. Us normal healthy adults can easily fast a few days of need be.

a lot of people just lost jobs. bars are closed. that's bartenders barbacks comedians musicians dancers etc. etc. etc. restaurants can deliver, but no dining in (coffee shops have no chairs as of today) - no servers bussers management hosts etc.

Are they being given delayed payments for a few months to recover? It's not their fault they cant work because the city imposed these restrictions.

yeah i watched a woman buy 4 cases of soup packets (like 8 packs in each!) fifteen minutes after i stocked 'em. leave some for someone else. fuckin boomer.
I went to the store earlier to buy some of those since I usually get them and have some just in case and just ran out, literally nothing I usually buy was in stock including those wtf

for some reason though in the pasta section nothing was there... except the lasagna lol what's wrong with lasagna that people didn't buy those too, poor lasagna :,(
