Completely left field, unnecessary, nearly entirely unrelated to the rest of the story, not in any way fun. Easily one of the worst levels of an otherwise good game, ever.

lack of mission variety really hurt it. At least it's short

Idk is it a bad idea in practice (I haven't finished it so I can't say for sure lol) because the last 4 chapters see a lot of the same notes being hit: move to new area, get in trouble, run away! I think if they didn't throw a curveball in then that structure would look growingly absurd

Yeah that part really burnt me out on the game. Dropped it shortly after.

But think about it like this, if you remove it entirely right now, the game story would change so very little as to not even notice. It's ultimately padding. It should have gone from chapter 4 to chapter 6 and then the epilogue.

Been awhile but i'm assuming you're taking about guarma.

Yeah.....it was kind of weird. Luckily it was also pretty short(which is also one of the problems with it lol). Bottom line it was pretty obviously shoehorned in for no good reason

Same. I played the game when it came out. Got up to that part and just literally stopped playing the game until a few weeks ago when I finally got the urge to finish it. Just slowed everything down. Now that I beat the game I'm glad I finished it but there were some parts of the game that were deliberately slow that didn't have to be.

are you talking about the island chapter? yeah, wasnt a fan of that either... was kind of pointless actually.

so you spend most of your time in the wild wild west then you're thrown into a tropical island for a couple of missions... threw me off a bit. lol

it was the weakest part of the game, but I didn't think that it was pointless.

the set-up was good - the whole river boat casino thing going awry, show Dutch's further decline (in Arthur's eyes), and it was also a good way to split up the gang

the revolution thing didn't add anything, though, but I thought of it as one of those things it wanted to borrow from the first game, like the whole Mexico section, which I also wasn't a fan of
