not once have i ever said man this guy's shirt is so cool. plus if you wear that, youll just look like a dad.

Because people have different tastes in clothing.

1. It became a habit for me due to attending a high school that had it as a dress code. We were required to wear polo shirts. (red, white or navy blue)
2. Most of my jobs I've had require business casual attire. All the years scrapping to get by, having "work attire" and "public attire" was too expensive so I just had "attire" universal the stuff I wore to work is the stuff I'd wear all the time anyways.
3. Also being a fat bastard with "teh dubblechin", and no muscle tone at all in the shoulder area. Polo shirts collar area gives me an actual fake appearance of a neck, I feel I look a bit better in a polo shirt than I do a T shirt.

It reminds me of those tuxedo t-shirts. So you have this t-shirt pretending to be fancy with its 2 buttons and collar and little alligator. Might as well wear a graphics tee.

Theyre good business casual wear. And Im not going to buy extra sets of clothes so I wear business casual every day unless it calls for something more formal

Because country clubs have dress codes. And you can get away with a polo in a lot of offices.

Plus not everybody looks good in a v-neck, some people view button-downs as being too formal & t-shirts as being too casual, and most people aren't street enough to pull off wearing just a wife-beater all the time.

And, in an office setting, not tucking in a polo doesn't necessarily look weird but not tucking in a button-down does.

Dress codes are remarkably stupid, and polos are the closest thing to t-shirts allowed. It's that simple for me, for work.
