Every person I spoke to romantically who didn't have kids would end up being very unreasonable and not understand that as a dad I have responsibilities and my time with my daughter would take priority over dates, they'd expect me to cancel on her to meet up with them. Not going to happen. I've been engaged for a year to a fellow parent and living with them and their daughter for 8 months.
