Aloy: An 18/19 year old woman from the year 3021, who's gone through some shit like fighting some gargantuan robotic creatures fought for her life, and coping with the loss of her adopted father and the fact that she was born from a machine. Is also revered as the savior and a leader among her tribe, of which women are held in high regard and childbirth is sacred. So, you're probably going to be a father after. Abby: Early 20's woman from the year 2010-2015, who's gone through some shit like fighting Ellie twice and not escaping without some serious woundage, members of her own group after trying to save two Seraphite kids, countless members of the Seraphite group, lost her father to Joel, viciously-murdered Joel, lost her dog Alice, and survived countless infected, not to mention trying to face her fear of heights and being captured, tortured, probably raped, and left for dead by members of the Rattlers in Santa Barbara. Regardless I do want to make clear I don't have an issue with video games (particularly ones trying to have more grounded or gritty stories) featuring average or below average looking people.
