I realize this is bad and could spread overtime, but man am I glad it's sports games that are this manipulative and scummy. Which makes sense. They have a big fanbase that only play sports games and they have the monopoly on it. Those people have nowhere else to go. It's like an abusive relationship and a lot of them have stockholm syndrome. I don't think it would work as well for other franchises, since there's way more people who would just play something else. A lot of sports fans are suckers and they know that. They get into the whole spirit of the sport and they manipulate the fuck out of it.

I did a massive project on Take-Two (and Activison-Blizzard) and I actually really like their CEO Strauss Zelnick but the dude does not give a fuck about consumers, just about maximizing a businesses profits. So i fully expect this to work out in T2's favor even tho its bullshit.

You can be likable and still not give a fuck about people. That's a huge part of manipulation. If being likable serves your purpose then you just put on the show. I'd say if someone is unlikable, it's more likely that they're dumb rather than evil. But than again, I'm so far removed from seeing any benefits of being outwardly evil and there's a huge history of people with large following being outwardly evil. I feel like in the industry he's in, in more beneficial to be likable.

But hey, keep taking advantage of poor people so you can afford an upgrade on your jet you likable angel.
