I think he had a lot of good ideas. The concept of peak experiences, although probably around for thousands of years, was described and articulated well, and was pretty accurate. His hierarchy of needs is very legitimate, and interesting. I also like how he was one of the first researchers to focus on the positive aspects of pscyhology, as opposed to the negative aspects of it, like most before him had. In terms of the importance of pyschologists, I wouldn't say he's on the same level as Freud, Jung, or maybe Pavlov, but he's still probably quite important.
