Hmm, of the top of the head I'd say whether or not you allow your kid to question your values and consider other world views is a good indicator. If exposure to other points of view is a serious threat to the values of the kid, it might be brain washing.

Well I'm mostly referring to adult age people by then. You don't need fill in a 10 year old on philosophical debates lol.

So it's not really a good method, but a test I guess.
