It's a roguelite because some stats improve after runs (and other progressions). That way the game slowly becomes more forgiving while you become more accustomed to dealing with enemies.

I put a good hour or two into it back in the day and decided to wait for 1.0. Gonna get into it when I have time.

I like RoR2 but I don't have any friends who'd buy it and I hate playing these games with randoms. Cause Im about having fun and not about doing everything the best way possible. I feel like it puts a lower cap on it's value. Still can be fun solo. But sometimes I lose interest mid game. Which is just how gaming kind of goes for ne in general. I feel like others would make it a lot more fun. Do you play solo? Friends? Randos?

There's a double-edged sword introduced with artifacts because you have the flexibility to play the game however you like, but with others involved they'll tend to enable every artifact possible which is a recipe for chaos and instadeath. There are also some excellent multiplayer mods, my favorite one being that whatever item someone picks up is also added to the rest of the team. TBQH randos isn't as bad as it used to be, and solo is engaging when you're aiming to unlock something or set a goal for yourself.

Can I just say that Supergiant Games is a very committed and passionate company, and that Kasavin and folks have shown an immense dedication to their craft that's apparent in the final product? I'm honestly looking forward to what they explore next (maybe something 3D?)

I have the switch version and I haven't had any problems or slowdown yet. I probably have 10 hours in it.

I've noticed some slowdown in handheld mode now, but it generally only happens when there's ALOT of enemies attacking at once.

Own it on PC but havent tried it yet. Bought it to support Supergiant but I tend to not like roguelites/roguelikes. Dead Cells was fun for all of a couple hours to me before the dying and starting from scratch with shit items wore me and I stopped playing.

I must be really stupid. I died for the first time and I dont know what to do next. Im in the room with Hades, Cerberus, Achilles, ect, but Ive talked to everyone and I dont know how to leave

There's an exit to another room to the right of Hades. If worse comes to worse hug the corners until you find the area transition. From that room there's another exit to where you get new weapons and can try them out(this practice area is also where the entrance to start a new run is).

• Sometimes I'm presented with two options for doors. Which colors do which?
• What are these keys for?
• I just gave Cerberus a snack, I think. What did I even do? I just wanted to pet the good boy!
• Am I the only one that's terrible at using the projectile?

The symbols for doors tell you what the reward is. Like if it's a wheel it's Athena, purple drop is Darkness, etc. There are rewards for giving the nectar or whatever it is to NPC's. I don't know much about them myself but Achilles' guide will tell you your character rank and how many more conversations you need with them for something. The keys are currency that's used to either expand the mirror in your room, buy weapons, and maybe some more stuff?

This game is a blast. I was doing really well with the Bow (bought it by mistake, but thats okay), killing everyone with ease. Thats until I got to the first boss and it was dashing all over the place.

I also hate those damn land mines.

I keep forgetting to use my God Power thing with the Right Trigger.

Yeah Calls are something I tend to think less of than even Casts.

The Bow is good, but it takes some practice to get the Power Shot timing down. Its Special can be made stupid effective if you put the right boons on it.

I use the cast liberally... no idea where the complaints about that move are coming from because you generally have a bonus it to it even without boons

Yeah, cast can get pretty stupidly OP with the right boons, even without them, one of your upgrades is doing more damage to enemies holding your casts, so you should awlays be using it.

Beat the first boss! It said which weapon I beat them with (Spear), so do you get new unlocks or whatever for beating the bosses with different weapons? I assume thats the case.

I hate the Spin Attack with the spear, much rather then the multiple strike one. I think that combined with finally putting some points into back damage it helped me beat the first boss. BTW, who were they? Im pretty good with the Greek stuff, but didnt recognize their name

Still going strong in the second part with all the fire. Trying to get Keys to unlock the next weapon to try that out. Maybe unlock new perks? What do you suggest?

Personally I tend to put as much as I can into throwing it. Always better to hang back from your foes if you can.

Oh right my last run.

Got to the end of the third area for the third time. Had a Fists build going, but fell to the boss again. Although this time I think I got a better feel for their pattern. The first time I fought them I had a distance build based on the Spear and wasn't even bothering to watch what they were doing. The second time I walked in with 3 health and got murked in six seconds.

Still close-range builds are risky as hell.
