Wonder how the game would've been if he didnt get himself arrested I feel it would have been the "Japanese GTA" that a lot of people suspect of the series before learning more. A lot of the tone and themes of the games stem from the idea that Kiryu is ultimately a good person willing to make these incredible sacrifices. Him not doing that fundamentally changes those themes.
