Its funny that the people who hate washing dishes are the ones that make it a pain to do it because theyre the ones that leave them there and let the food get dry and crusty.

If you just wash them after the meal its easy and quick.

Bruh. Did you do them one at a time or something?

Protip: fill your sink with dishes, add soap, fill with hot water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Drain, rinse, repeat for each load.

Most things will get clean and all you have to do is deal with crusty stuff which after two hot soaks should be coming off easily.

Look into countertop portable dishwashers. I got one back when I lived in a small apartment with no dishwasher, they are made for RVs and plug into a regular socket, and are Energy Star power efficient. It was around $260 USD, it still works but it's now in storage, but for the 2 years I used it, it was fantastic. It held about 2 meals worth of dishes between me and the wife, so roughly 4-6 plates 4 bowls, 4 glasses, maybe a pot or pan, and silverware. It made life a lot easier.

They are ugly and in the way, I have room for a smaller dishwasher under my sink, which I wanna get in the future. Doing the dishes is my worst home chore ever, I hate it. And when I cook, I always get loads of dishes for some reason.

Yeah and it feels so good.

Btw, one reason why I haven't cleaned up the past weeks is I was sick for 1 week from a cold, then the other for my foot that has an inflammation so I could not stand for too long. But that's no real excuse since this isn't really a unique situations, doesn't get this bad usually but close to it.

Don't they know that a lot of the taste comes from the fact that the pots/pans/skillets are never properly washed?

Disposables are bad tbh. I suggest reusing your plates if possible, like if you just have a sandwich for a snack then save the plate for dinner as it will be mostly clean. Just shake off the crumbs.

lol, I'm still that slob, which is weird since I do love things better when it's tidy. And I don't mind cleaning, I just hate cleaning my shit. I'm tidy and clean at work, and last weekend I scrubbed and cleaned my bf's bathroom (which was pretty grimy) and had no problem with that and loved to do that. I just hate cleaning my own shit.

But 5 hours of dishes. Unless you have an industrial sized family that is purely ridiculous, and even in that case, its even more ludicrous.

Yeah I don't like disposables cuz of climate. And I do this. I've been using the same pot, bowl and utensils for my ramen for weeks, just rinsed it.

I did take a couple of smaller breaks, but yeah I started at around 6:30pm and finished at 11:30pm.

I had to towel dry the dishes on my drying rack like 3 different times to have room.

Ive had the same dished in my sink for months. But I rinse everything off before putting them over there. Then I just keep cleaning the same couple dishes so that it doesn't get pass a certain point. I use the same pans for everything. I absolutely never let pans pile up.

Dishes are my least favorite household chore by far, so I get where you're coming from. It will feel a lot more manageable if you try doing them every day or other day.

Do you still have your same habits? I remember you posting pics a long time ago of the inside of your house, and it was a total mess.

Yeah, and I honestly not sure how it snowballs that fast. Maybe it's that I'm always so exhausted after work and on my free days I'm barely at home or I want to catch up on shows and games when I'm off work. Which is my problem with priority I know.
