I saw a post on diabetic subreddit where they make ice cream substitutes from freezing banana smoothies, i decided to take the idea further.

I smothered 3 bananas to make smoothie, mix it with half cup of cream, 1 tbs of honey for extra sweetener.

The thing is i need something to bind them because i don't want popsicle texture, but more of a gelato/ ice cream scoop texture. They usually use flour i think , but i substituted it with unsweetened instant oats.

Mix them together, along with melted dark cocoa and basically add the oatmeal until you get solid-ish texture like a cookie dough then freeze it.

The result is good. Not as good as real high quality ice cream or gelato of course, but imo it's better and healthier than supermarket ice cream

I think the problem is the oats chunks spread around and some people might not like the chunks, which in theory could be solved by putting raw oats into food processor and make fine powder similar to actual flour.
