I did get the original Sims and its expansions working a few years ago, but the details are a bit fuzzy.

If you still have the original discs you can get them to work on Windows 10, but you'll need to download a new launcher and edit a few files. Then I right clicked the launcher and ran it as an administrator (otherwise you get caught in an endless expansion pack installation loop in the game). Once I got it working, I no longer needed the discs to run the game.

Not digitally, at least not legit though maybe you might find it via means we will not discuss here! Aside from that, you could check out any thrift / second hand stores near you, I often still see Sims 1 and EPs in those where I live

also you reminded me I installed it all on my laptop, only once I loaded it up I ran out of nostalgia to play it and couldn't get used to the isometric view again, I'm too spoiled by Sims 3!
