Just kind of goat them into shooting at you and then side step them and approach them, but stay locked on in case they line up their bullets again. As long as you're locked on, you'll block every shot until you run out of battery. The ones with multiple gun guys, do the same thing but try to goat both of them into shooting you at the same time if you can and while attacking one of them, keep the other in view and if he raises his gun to shoot again, do that emergency dodge and block all the bullets. The way it constantly does those effect transition screens when going through doors and mid combat too. I feel like I'm just mashing buttons and stuff is happening. Killed the first boss thing with the big sword and have no idea who he is or why I was suddenly fighting him. Feel like I missed a ton of context. Yeah, you get a little backstory from them but not much. (I did get all the trophies/achievements in both Shadows of the Damned and Killer is Dead though.
