All those minor people that nobody gave a fuck about. It's hard to even remember their names, isn't it? Courtney Halverson, Lindsay Beamish, Emily Perkins (to an extent), PJ DeBoy, Jessica Bardem, and so on?

I mean, do you even recognise ANY of those names I just gave?

Because if say you wanted to be an a-list actor or pro athlete your chances of making it are like 50000-1

If you wanted to be a doctor and you completed all your training your chances of being a doctor are very high.

It's all about the expectations

That's like 99% of all actors. For every household name, there's a ton of actors who never do much beyond performing on stage at some obscure theater on Sunset.

Depends on the actor and the circumstances. I feel bad for someone like Shelley Duvall.

emily perkins has had a very stable career
i dont think she has ever had as big a hit as ginger snaps but she has been acting pretty consistently since she was a kid
earlier this year she reprised her recurring role as becky in supernatural for an episode

her ginger snaps costar katherine isabelle is much the same
they dont get big hits but they both get pretty consistent work
also both played recurring characters on supernatural
