Has it been managers criticising you, and belittling you infront of your peers?

Consecutive rejections from the opposite sex?

Your parents telling you that you aren't good enough, in specific ways or generally, again and again?

Failure to pass academic exams, or coursework?

Friends cutting you out?

Come to think of it, I've had pretty much all of them! Good old Sunhawk! I think the worst was parent stuff, though.

The job hunting process. I thought I was the shit throughout my school years because I did very well academically, but recruiters and managers judge you off the stupidest things. And promotions and success in the corporate world isn't so much about your individual performance as it is about getting on the right side of the right people. Like just yesterday, one of our best workers got laid off. Then two weeks ago, one of our meh workers got promoted because he was buddies with another manager.

I've banking on making money through the stock market instead because I sincerely doubt I'll be doing much climbing in the corporate ladder.

I got fired from a job very early in my career and it set me back mentally, in retrospect it was a shitty job and losing it was a blessing in disguise but it shook my professional confidence for a while

Being on the spectrum, I have my good days and bad days socially, but overall just not very good in social settings. I'm very aware of this and my anxiety kicks in, and social anxiety is like a feedback loop.

Otherwise life is good. Haven't had too many failures that still bother me, and people are mostly kind to me.

Biggest crushing blow i ever received.

5th grade.
Asked a female friend of mine (good friend) to talk to another girl about seeing if she liked me.
Second girl turned to me with all the disgust in every universe on her face and from 20 feet away screamed "YOU?!?!?!?" and ran out of the room crying.

I don't think it's been any one thing, I just feel like over the last ten years especially people don't understand me and don't try to understand me. They don't respond to the comment or question that I'm making, they make some assumption about an ulterior motive in *my* words that isn't there, stuff like that. Just really makes you wonder what you're doing in life.
