Seriously. I remember people talking a little about it, back in the day, but I thought it was only for hardcore feminists and lesbians (since a lot of the cast if LGBT women). It also struck me as one of those really angry series, where women talk shit about men a lot (think the SCUM Manifesto). What is it like?

I remember my friends used to laugh at me for watching Sex and the City.

I might be wrong but when you bring up that SCUM thing, I think you might be thinking of a different show called Girls. All I know is I think one of the stars of Girls was on American Horror Story a couple seasons ago and they mentioned the SCUM Manifesto in her episode.

I watched a few episodes of Girls... They dont hate guys, they're guy crazy

This. It was honestly a pretty acurate representation of lesbians and their relationships.
My moms have been together for 20 years and are their 1st serious same sex relationship. But most of their lesbian friends have had a few partners and you'd be surprised at how much of a small world it is. Several times they've met a new lesbian couple to hang out with only to find out both have dated some of their other friends and they absolutely can't stand each other anymore.
