it just become the default of goalpost in life, that people that are never want or suitable to make families are given no other choice but to live like everyone else. that resulted in unhappy couple, with unhappy kids that grow up to be messed up people that continue the misery breeding cycle.

marriage is generally good, kids are good but only if you really want it, educated and aware of the responsibilities that entails, not pressurized either directly by friends or family members or unconscious expectation of collective human society. especially in this age of overpopulation and climate crisis.

of course it doesn't encompass every problem, but i feel like a lot of problems is caused by this.
