would recommend but if you're in healthy / stable mental state. i can see it would fuck up some people if they aren't prepared. if you're actively struggling about issues like depression, physical/sexual abuse, abandonment, suicidal thoughts or self-harm, i'd probably ask myself if i can handle the portrayal, like super real portrayal of it, and if you think you can't i'd reccomend against reading it.
