I saved right before having to progress a storyline with Shinada and this brokeass motherfucker has only 17yen in his pocket. I'm supposed to take a taxi and can't take any substories because I have a partner following me and the random encounters don't seem to be dropping any money. Can't find a pawnshop to sell items either.

Some help please

I seriously don't wanna go back to my file in Haruka's chapter. Jesus christ. Is this a game breaking oversight on the developer's part or am I just getting unlucky with money drops from random encounters..

Found the pawn shop. It was not marked on the map. Thank the fucking gods.

Hey, I'm playing Yakuza 5 too and about to finish Shinada's section (cleaning up sidestories and other stuff before I move on). I forgot how but I got a Lucky Binding at some point and after that guys started dropping Gold and Platinum plates a lot, and more Rich Bastards show up.

Yeah I'm not ignoring his side content anymore. Easily my least favorite part in the game so far. I even liked Haruka's chapters a lot more.

I like it slightly more than Saejima's time in the mountain (but I'm an idiot and had to do everything before I left, probably should have just left straight away.)

Also fuck T-Set.

I like it a lot and yeah it is long. It feels like three times the length of the average Yakuza game. Not that I am complaining. The super long cutscenes remind me of MGS.

Done with Shinada's chapters. His part feels like how a spin-off game feels in comparison from the mainline entries. He's also easily the weakest main character in the game but Tanimura suffered with the same problem in Y4.

Shinada had the second best section of Yakuza 5. Only Kiryu's was better but that's unfair because his section of 5 is THE PEAK of the Yakuza series

I loved Shinada, he's such a dumbass about everything that's not baseball and it's kind of lovable.

Definitely the worst section in the game though.

Kiryu > Akiyama/Haruka > Saejima > Shinada
