Never owned a dog, but i wonder if dogs are the same as cats: they hate late owners and wake them up at early morning.

Mine wake me up either by climbing on my bed then meows loudly or scratching the post beside my bed very loudly.

Lol my cat won't have any of that shit. I wake up early on weekend too nowadays. Tbh it helped me more because my sleep schedule is becoming more structured and i have been sleeping better than ever instead of statinv up to 3 AM on weekend then have miserable mondays.

My lab wakes me up every morning around 5:30. He lets out a couple loud and very distinctive barks, letting me know he needs to go outside. Because it's so cold out now and he has short fur, he does his business quickly and rushes back in so I can get back to sleep.

Nice. Does he make a happy sound when you wake up?

My cat lets out high pitched " myah myah" when she successfully woke me up.

A few playful yips, he mostly prances around with a dopey dog smile on his face lol

My cat wakes me up by laying by my face. He doesn't quit until I get up either. I have to ban him from the room sometimes.

Why are you letting your cats in your room while you sleep?

Our cats will meow loudly and walk over us when it's time for breakfast. The dog will generally stay asleep on her bed until we get up.

Because we view them as living beings that deserve our love? One of our cats sleeps between our pillows and the other often likes to sleep under the quilt. It's wonderful.

My parents dogs will climb on you and paw your head if they need to go out in the middle of the night. Or in the morning.

Theyll usually go back to bed after though unless you get up and then theyll be up.

My dogs are 8 and 7. One of them literally jumps on us and whines until we get up. Thankfully he only weighs like 12 pounds. The other doesn't realize she can jump on the bed because she's only done it like three times when she's super excited and forgets about it so she just whines from the floor.

Had a dog that would claw at my face if I didn't wake up when she did. She lived 17 years. Towards the end I had to wake her up.

My dog would put his head on my bed, but then he knew I was still sleeping or wasn't getting out so he would just groan and go back to sleep until I got up.

My dog is allowed on my bed and still rarely ever wakes me up. He will come and lay on me as soon as he thinks I'm getting up tho. If I act like I'm still sleeping, he just leaves.

I know this feeling lol. Sometimes when my dad and step mom go on trips I would stay at their apartment to take care of their cats. They'll meow super loud at like 5 am because my dad gets up early to feed them, and if I don't wake up, they'll walk right on my stomach. They're not that heavy, but when the weight is concentrated into a tiny paw...

On weekdays, I usually have to wake my dog up to take him outside before I go to work. I get up pretty early most weekends, but if not he will scratch at the door until I get up.
