Really shocked that he actually ended up becoming an ally and it looks like he's sticking around for a bit too

When Dinn was testing out Grogu's name, and he looked up instinctively from hearing his name called, that kinda brought a smile to my face. It proved that's his name to him, and I kinda laughed. And then Dinn laughed too, which was pretty amusing.

Seeing the Slave 1 rang some alarm bells. "Oh shit! It's actually here!"

Then the Stormtroopers showed up, and I was thinking, "THIS must be the tragedy."

Dinn tries to get Grogu a second time, fails. I'm thinking, "If you can't get past the barrier, neither can the Stormtroopers, he's fine." Then he leaves, and Grogu almost immediately gets done with the whole thing, and I'm thinking, "That's great. Perfect timing."

Then they started fighting them off, and I was like, "Oh, everything's turning out okay."

Then the Razor Crest was destroyed. COMPLETETLY destroyed in an instant. Massive explosion, everything gone. I was whisper-shouting at the screen, "NOOOO!" And I figured THIS must be the tragedy.

Then the Darktoopers showed up, and started taking Grogu away. Then I realized this was actually the tragedy. ;_;

And apparently what Grogu did awakened some powers within him. Before, he was getting good at Force levitating objects, but here, he was completely, and confidently throwing Stormtroophers around left and right. It was amazing. I was like, "YEAH! GET THEIR ASSES!" It was so cool seeing him have awakened powers, but using it like that. Although, I get the feeling Dinn's gonna have to try and teach him not to use his powers out of such anger and rage. Filoni said that he wants the story to show Grogu getting what Anakin needed, but never had.

Just finished it. Boba shattering Stormtrooper helmets was so fucking cool, and then the Indiana Jones boulder. This season has been amazing and this is 10/10 Star Wars.

When Slave 1 showed up I was like a damn kid again

When Boba Fett started beating the shit out of stormtroopers I was literally on the edge of my seat

When Grogu got taken I shouted NOOOOO

I'm guessing Bo Katan will reappear to help get him back.

Teeeechnically Dark Troopers first appeared in new canon in Star Wars: Commander, the mobile strategy game. That said, the game is a bit fast and loose with just using old stuff.

Im honestly impressed. I found the first season somewhat encouraging, but I was still skeptical. This season started a little slow, but has really picked up. These last few episodes have been amazing.

This has kind of rekindled my love of Star Wars. After TLJ I just calmly accepted that the new direction of the series wasn't for me. Now it looks like there may be something for me.

Well he did make a deal with him and didn't deliver on it. Being a bounty hunter he has somewhat of a code. We can also assume his personality has changed at least a bit over 30 years.

It's just stun mode on the blaster. It's not something that was used much in the movies, but they always seemed to imply that pretty much all blasters have that setting.

Yeah, it was nice to see Boba have a chance to show off in combat after having gone out like a chump in RotJ.

Also in keeping with the Western theme, Boba's line 'I was aiming for the other one' is a nice amended callback to Magnificent Seven's 'I was aiming for the horse!' (Been years since I've seen Seven Samurai, but I think it also has a similar exchange that M7 later copied).

I wouldn't be surprised if he just didn't know where the fuck it was until he saw our boy leave with it. After that he just needed a good opportunity to get it back, I guess.

Yet to be explained.

In the Legends continuity, he literally blasted his way out of the sarlacc, given he still had plenty of weapons in the suit, but not before spending enough time inside to cause some damage.

It's also possible that a reference in Chapter 9 is the answer. Vanth suggests that the krayt dragon is the apex predator of Tatooine as it was discovered in an abandoned sarlacc pit, which the krayt dragon had eaten. It could have been the same one and Fett was able to escape while the sarlacc was in the process of being torn asunder.

This is my only nitpick of the episode. It's been five years and I guess we're meant to assume that only now is Fett looking for his armor? With the amount of stuff he's got and the fact that he still has access to Slave I, it seems like he could have retrieved his armor prior to this.
