I've only seen some of it, so the description will be a little vague and with gaps. The film appears to follow two groups of characters. One group is a bunch of Arabs (I think) living a simple life in the Middle East. The other group is a pair of Japanese schoolgirls, who are also deaf, and trying to get guys to like them. I think it's some kind of realistic drama. Does anyone know what this is?

I actually just watched it for the first time last week. It's one of those intersecting-story dramas. It focuses on four different groups and how their lives are affected by one event. In that sense, it's not a typical narrative. It's better than similar movies though - like Crash, for instance.
