How much personal wealth do you have? Are you a saver, or a spender, or what? Do you think having money saved up is important? Do you plan to save up and one day buy a house, and start a family?

I have about 100 pounds in my bank account. I'm in my 30s. It's funny. When I was much younger, about 23, I had roughly 20000 in my bank account. For most people, I suspect, it's the other way around. They go out a lot when very young and enjoy themselves, then at some point hunker down and start building up personal wealth, so that (eventually) they can buy property and all that other adult stuff. Of course, I've had many setbacks.

Thoughts?

34, net worth is about $370,000. $130,000 of that was gained this past year. I'm feeling pretty good about the rate of growth, and I look forward to investing more every week.

About to become 30 and I have about R$ 70000 (approx. U$ 14000) in the bank. I haven't invested because I feel like it's a dumb meme that I can invest R$ 10000 and come out with like R$ 15000 in 2 years (or something like that), but I keep looking at Bitcoin and being like "oh shit this went up 10% in a week"

I got into cryptocurrency 2 years ago and I'm up about $53,000 right now. Definitely risky tho.

I'm in a better financial position than a lot of people but it's not as good as I would like it to be. I had a lot of fun in my early 20s and had some expensive habits that delayed some savings and investing but overall I'm on track for a decent retirement. I have minimal debt, make six figures and should only make more going forward.

I made 85k this year at Costco plus 5k from when I was working a second job for a bit due to lack of hours and full time status. Got 8k in the bank at the moment, will be 10k next check then putting at least 7,probably 8 towards my student loans as the covid deferment thing ends new years day. With any luck I'll be student debt free by April which is when I get my bonuses and such. I'm 31, birthday yesterday

My wife and I are both 28. We have a net worth of about $220k right now (see below for the breakdown). I'm pretty happy at where I am. I have colleagues that are much better off than me, as well as colleagues that are much worse off than me, but I think I'm leading a normal, average "white collar" life.

I absolutely think having money saved up is important. I absolutely do not want my child to have to be required to take care of me... I want to be self-sufficient.

In our early 20s, my wife and I blew a lot of money on vacations; we went overseas almost every few months, spending like $15k/trip. Didn't save a lot during those times... but now, we've settled down somewhat, and are focused on saving more money so that we can have a child within a couple of years.

I still feel "nervous", that I can have all these things taken away from me from bad luck (e.g., laid off, lawsuits for whatever reason, accidents, health issues, etc.).

Properties: $153,400
According to an appraiser during our house refinance this year in June, our house is worth $540,000. Our mortgage remaining balance is $418,500. So net $121,500.

According to an appraiser during our second house purchase this year (for investment purposes) in July, the property is worth $118,000. The mortgage remaining balance is $91,400. So net $26,600.

We have two MY2019 vehicles. According to Carvana's "sell your car" offer, Carvana offered:
Car 1: $28,500. Remaining car loan balance is $28,400. So net $100.
Car 2: $30,200. Remaining car loan balance is $25,000. So net $5,200.

Cash: $28,000
In our bank accounts, we have $28,000.

Investments: $115,000
In our investments (401ks, IRAs, HSAs, and non-tax-advantaged accounts), we have a total of $115,000.

Student Loans: -$75,800
My wife and I both have student loans. The current balance total is $75,800. We do not have any other debt (except as shown above; e.g., we do not have credit card debt, personal loan debt, etc.).

Well what skills do you have? Are you certified in anything, or have a degree? If not, then start small (sales, stock room associate, cashier, etc.), and work your way from there.
