I mean, as opposed to just buying joycons? I don't know if I've ever seen the full controller.

Also, why do people love the Pro model so much?

Do you mean buying a pair of Joy-cons together? You can do that:

People mostly seem to prefer Pro controllers due to them having a d-pad, and being (in their view) more comfortable to hold.

I meant joycons along with the middle connecting part.

Also i don't think the drift is as prevalent on the pro

That's a Joy-Con grip, Nintendo considers it a different piece, and I don't think they sell them with the Joy-Cons. You might be able to get a bundle from a retailer where they sell a Joy-Con and grip together at a discount.

Drift still happens on the Pro? Seriously? But isn't it just a normal controller?

When a joycon goes wrong, replacing it but not replacing the grip fixes the problem, right? I mean, that's logical.

It should do. You can also try to get the Joy-Con repaired.
