People mostly seem to prefer Pro controllers due to them having a d-pad, and being (in their view) more comfortable to hold.

I meant joycons along with the middle connecting part.

That's a Joy-Con grip, Nintendo considers it a different piece, and I don't think they sell them with the Joy-Cons. You might be able to get a bundle from a retailer where they sell a Joy-Con and grip together at a discount.

Drift still happens on the Pro? Seriously? But isn't it just a normal controller?

When a joycon goes wrong, replacing it but not replacing the grip fixes the problem, right? I mean, that's logical.
