It's Pirate Game of Thrones with good characters/action/worldbuilding etc

Though it's a Saturday Morning Cartoon with a shitton of episodes with filler and padding

Still worth it if you want to get into it. Some of the best shonen out there unless Wano onwards REALLY shits the bed.

I watched over like 200 episodes and it still was garbage outside of a small handful of cool fight episodes

I guess you need to watch like 700 episodes before it gets good

I watched one episode but it didnt catch me as hard as I thought it would tbh >_>

Not everyone will like the same things one piece is either a love it or hate it kind of show/manga, and personally I love it. No I cant explain why I just enjoy it.

It has a great cast of characters, great story, an amazing mysterious world dat keeps on moving even when da creator focuses on da main characters.

It being on top for 20+ years is nothing to laugh at, its fucking awesome. Plus Pinky loves it iirc, da manga at least

That's where it got real good in the manga too.
At first is was pretty good, but the part where Luffy gives Nami his hat and heads out to kick ass was the moment that it went from a 7 to a 10 for me.

You either love it or hate it. I watched 200+ episodes until I gave up. Just couldnt get into it.

Its a 20ish year series with a continual story that has Minimal plot holes. Great characters and emotionally driven plot lines.

its still a shonen but feels like its different in its own way.

my favourite aspect though is how things are hinted at that arent paid off for years and years.

One thing to note tho. While fights are typically what resolves conflicts, OP is first and foremost an adventure shonen
