Also, how do you feel about the law that says at least a third of music on Canadian radio has to be of Canadian origin? Too much regulation? Good for promoting patriotism? Just bizarre? Personally, I quite like Canadian music, although often, I couldn't at first tell it wasn't American. It's not just the accents, both countries do produce reasonably similar music. --- It has been 0 days since something interesting happened. Celine Dion and Shania Twain and Alanis Morissette are power houses. In the 90s we had our analogues of American alternative rock like Our Lady Peace and Barenaked Ladies. We had our 80s rock like Glass Tiger and Bryan Adams. And this decade Drake and The Weekend and Bieber are dominant. I'm sure there are a lot of artists I like who are Canadian and I don't even realize it.
