I had some cauliflower tots, they were ok, not terrible. But they didnt taste anything like regular tater tots.

Ive heard multiple people say that mashed cauliflower tastes just like mashed potatoes, and I flat out think they are lying about it

I've had it in a few frozen dinners now. I like it. It's literally just cauliflower run through a shredder so you get tiny crisp cubes of cauliflower. Obviously not the same as rice, but it fills the role of it well enough, soaking up whatever sauce the entree is in.

Mashed cauliflower is closer to mashed potatoes than either are to sweet potatoes

Because its a healthier alternative than regular rice? IIRC you live in California? Id imagine everyone in California lives on salads and kale and premium health shit so theyre probably just charging a premium for healthy shit cause people will pay it?

Thats the sense I get from what I see on tv anyway. I was watching selling sunset and these 3 girls went to lunch, one ordered a leaf salad, one ordered a smoothie, and the other one ordered water lol. I imagine thats what all Californians eat.

I made shepherd's pie once with roughly 50/50 cauliflower/potatoes for the top (I had extra cauliflower to use up), and I didn't notice an obvious difference. If I put it next to an all-potato one and tasted them side by side, I'm sure I'd be able to tell the difference, but on its own, it was close enough that I didn't care.

I mean typically healthier food does cost more, and that number goes up if you are going after certain brands that have more ethical methods of creating the food. It's not just something in California...

I see it as the vegetable version of the tortilla.
Like if humans ate leaves, this would be one of our best, besides spinach.

Its so fresh and moist and theres nothing like having an asian style lettuce wrap stuffed fulled of savory and sweet ground chicken/pork with highlights of soy and hoisin sauce, accompanied by the soft crunch of small bits of waterchestnut.

Iceberg is mostly flavorless but theres a lot of other lettuce greens that are pretty tasty imo

kale and baby spring mix both have a nice peppery bite to them

Its more of a texture but it does have a subtle taste.

I mean no one thinks the burrito wrapper tastes like the best thing either but it ties everything together nicely.

Maybe. I never taste it, though. But that's probably because it's usually eaten with things with more flavor that basically make it seem tasteless. Which is why I usually avoid it as it's becomes tasteless filler foods with most other things...

ye, I like potatoes and carrots and broccoli and green beans particularly. I like corn ok, I like turnip ok, I like shredded raddish as a seasoning. EDIT: I also really like peas, celery, chives and onions.

The main things I don't like are kidney beans, cauliflower and lettuce... which is weird since I like spinach

It can. That's why people try to avoid that kind. That being said, I do know people that like the tortilla part of the wrap. Personally, I don't care for it much, but don't hate it. But when I go to Chipotle, I get the burrito bowl instead of a burrito. I know some people who like the wrap part. They even get one on the side sometimes. And some people get extra when we've gone to certain food places. They're pretty plain, too. But have more taste than lettuce to me. And personally, the only reason to really get a burrito instead of the bowl is if you want the tortilla, or if you want to have the burrito in one hand (so you can do other things like drive, use your phone, work, etc). In the end, the tortilla at least performs a nice function. Where the lettuce just seems to take away from the full flavor (but giving you bites of lettuce, with can be like most water when iceberg instead of more of the other stuff that has flavor). That's how it is for me, at least...

Like I said, I don't hate it. I just rather not eat it. Especially with other stuff(except salad, which I rarely eat, and only with lots of dressing)...
