Im not the kind of person that needs everything explained but I do think its funny that in the end The Board, The Hiss, and Polaris/Hedron are just kinda explained as weird shit from other dimensions or planes of consciousness

game becomes a lot easier once youve unlocked all your powers

and a lot of times you can actually ignore enemies and just run to where youre going if its a room you already cleared

Well here is what those exo planers are so far Alan Wake during the course of his game became a god. While fighting his inner demons during his trancedence they became manifested in the real world as the darkness/hiss. This along with the time fractures and time god creations rippled through the world thanks to the protagonist of Quantum Break which caused the creation of plot devices which are the literal objects of power throughout known history. This caused the bureau of control to be formed. Now the archetypes of literature are now WMDs because they actually change the world to fit a narrative of the story being told..

So yeah the ultimate bad guy of this is Alan Wake due o his psyhe creating the events

Thats not a fan theory its pretty much developer twitters and the Awe DLC

The janitor is a finnish god named ahti. A water god to be exact. Thats why the last time you see him he leaves a puddle behind

He's oversimplifying it. It's more that Alan, while trapped, keyed into something which was already there (the FBC) and is trying to write them into helping him.

But consider it a be a roswell that ends well. The entire reason he keyed in wasn't for help. His audio logs stated that he didn't know about the his. He is now essentially a narrator of reality. Is he typing things in because of prophecy or because what he types he manifest. It does state that he created the hiss in one form of another. This combined with his presence in Quantum Break allows for more realities to be broken as now his creations and power can now express themselves across different dimensions/timelines. In fact if you replay Allen wake and watch those tv shows, you will see that jesse faden was a character he created yers ago when he was a tv writer. Its either heavy handed forshadowing of Control or that when the events of QB altered reality that he created the oldest house.

That being said those dev tweets and in game logs seriously make it seem they are jumping through monster hoops to keep their games into one universe. Speaking of this has Matt Patt did a dissection of this yet didnt see one but you know how youtubers get with special guests.
