Sure, but you are locked out of equipment stashes and can only start at the default location. I hope you don't want to complete challenges for XP because that's gone too? God forbid your Internet or the network goes down while you're playing a mission because it's back to the main menu for you. At least let the player access all the story missions fully. Don't have separate online/offline saves.
