my dumbass sister in law got signed up to get the vaccine by her job. she went, found out it was moderna and refused it saying she wants the single dose johnson and johnson, and said that moderna is weak and doesn't wanna get 3 doses (??????)

I have to disagree. Medicine and science moves so quickly that I would never jump on and get the first, or even the 5th run of something. I'm not an anti-vaxxer by any means, but I never get the Flu Shot either, and that's because I see so many people who do get it get deathly ill and I never do.

If I have to get the shot to do something like work, than I have no issue doing so, but I'm not going to get it done this early in the stage willingly

I also am a shut in and pose very little risk of getting or spreading it since by nature I have to be very clean at work anyways, regardless of a pandemic

I would be against abortions if they made other people sick or if the debate was whether or not we should abort other people's babies. You don't have bodily autonomy to infect 10 people with a contagious disease that will go on to infect and possibly kill millions more. Vaccines are for you, but they are really about the collective.

The Moderna vaccine is like 95% effective. What kind of better version are you looking for? Are you hesitant like this with medications too?

A new vaccine could come out down the road before whatever effects you're worried about with these come to a head. Will you trust those future vaccines? What if they could also have bad effects and there could be something even better further into the future?

We need people vaccinated now to end this pandemic now. I thought we were all tired of this shit.

I'm not worried about it. I just don't see a strong reason to, because like I said earlier, I never get the Flu Shot and never get sick. I see people around me that do get that shot, and get very sick and miss work.

I also said if I had to go and get one, like for work or something, I have no issues doing that. But me sitting alone at home, being someone who already was really big on washing my hands and staying clean because of all my years working in a kitchen, and seeing things like the flu shot actually hurting people after all these year still, it makes me have no strong desire to just go and get it just to do it

This is a good point. Im not disagreeing either. Lets say a woman is pregnant, the fathers location is unknown, and she is dirt broke and can not afford to have a child. Having a child would be detrimental to her and society in more ways than just financially. She we force her to have an abortion?

I get the frustration with people who are hesitant to take the vaccine, but going around and insulting people for being hesitant doesn't do any good.

There is a deep medical discussion to be had here and the medical community isn't exactly going to take your approach. Vaccine hesitancy has been a problem for a long time and there are ways to combat it. It's called calmly talking to someone and answering questions regarding their concern. Unfortunately, that doesn't always do the trick, but I doubt insulting people ever does the trick.

Society shuns illfit mothers all the time.
I could see an argument that she should be encouraged to have an abortion, just like people should be encouraged to take a vaccine. I think in our current society, doing so might cause more harm than good by causing undue mental anguish, but it's still on the table.
