Truth. If they get to you first and convince you that everything else is built on lies and they're the only trustworthy ones, it's hard to get out of that manipulation and gaslighting. It's an abusive relationship. Democrats might not want you to think for yourself either if it goes against them, but the extremes they go to are nowhere near the lows Republicans hit.

Because it makes no sense? If I like having legs, I'm not going to vote for the Cut-Off-Legs Party. Notable Legger Jeff Bezos and the establishment of that party being weak on legs doesn't change that.

If it were, hypothetically, to come down to a situation where one party calls themself the "cut off legs party" and always talk about cutting off legs; but the other party in practice cut off more legs (just without talking about it, perhaps they even talk as if they're against it), who do you vote for?

Also assume in this hypothetical scenario, you are an American, and therefore incapable of realising that you have more than two choices.
