Today - Ah yes. When you thought you had the game figured out, it introduced these pacts of punishment to turn up the heat and make you die a lot.

Pick up to 3 of the worst Pact of Punishment from this list:

Lasting Consequences - -25% healing per rank
Convenience Fee - +40% price increase
Jury Summons - +20% enemies in room encounters
Extreme Measures - Changes the mechanics of boss fights
Calisthenics Program - +15% more health for enemies
Benefits Package - +1 perk for armored enemies
Middle Management - +1 additional elite or elite enemy skill in miniboss encounters
Underworld Customs - Sacrifice one boon/skill when you leave a region in Hades
Forced Overtime - +20% speed for enemies
Heightened Security - +400% trap damage
Routine Inspection - -3 Mirror of Night talents per rank
Damage Control - +1 damage prevention for enemies
Approval Process - -1 choices when choosing boons/skills or upgrades
Tight Deadline - Reduces the time you have to clear each region

Approval Process - HATE this, just feels completely awful and is also a significant power downgrade
Benefits Package - I like the concept of this but in practice it ends up buffing enemies way too much to be worth it, especially when combined with other pacts
Convenience Fee - swerving on this one, I don't think it's hard but it feels pretty inconsequential and it's bad for that reason. It's not exactly free heat but it's so boring that it sure feels like it.

Never tried Personal Liability but it sounds awful lol

Forced Overtime is hell, it's easily the worst one. Heightened Security only gives you 1 heat despite being a nightmare to deal with. And I'll never take Approval Process unless my run is built around taking it (in which case I'll take both ranks and just suck it up).

Forced Overtime is a weird one for me. Both ranks are hellish but back when I was playing the game constantly I got really good at playing with one rank on. But now that I just do runs here and there every so often I am not good enough at the game to deal with that
