Someone drove a vehicle into a barricade killing one police officer, injuring another. And then the perpetrator was killed while brandishing a knife.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to call it an "attack at the Capitol", with current information. Sounds like they just were on drugs and did some stupid shit.

Where are you seeing that it was an attack on the Capitol? If it was someone launching a missile or purposely shooting at the White House, Capitol, etc, then it would be more suitable. Someone just driving into a barricade with a knife in their possession doesn't sound right in the mind, as possibly impaired.

Where are you seeing that it was an attack on the Capitol? If it was someone launching a missile or purposely shooting at the White House, Capitol, etc, then it would be more suitable. Someone just driving into a barricade with a knife in their possession doesn't sound right in the mind, as possibly impaired.

It's an incident and scene of a crime. There's no evidence to suggest that it was an act of terror or that the person was intentionally trying to cause mayhem. There's no toxicology report and no information on the person involved. Given that the vehicle involved was a four-door car, it's possible that the person was just a distracted driver and had a knife on them, as some people do.

This event just happened. There's no information at this time to suggest anything. Frothing at the mouth that this was an attack is jumping to conclusions with no evidence to suggest otherwise.

Now, days from now, when we know more about the person, after an actual investigation has concluded, then we can make conclusions. Not before.

Now, I will say, yes, this is also jumping to conclusions. That was my mistake and hypocritical of me to say so so I apologize for this unfounded hypothesis.

Having known some past classmates and friends that, after using drugs like marijuana and meth, did made some poor choices, this sounds like a very similar scenario and much more plausible than a terrorist.

So you have a problem with the assumption that it was an attack but youre more than ready to assume drugs were involved based on the same lack of evidence that you wont stop crying about. Curious
