"asking for ID to vote is fascist?"

Shut the fuck up and get out of my window, dude.

Weird how the left that won't shut up about politics and BLM and whatever has never shown up and talked politics at my store in 5 years, but the right doesn't stop.

Voter ID would be sensical,

If you made it brain dead easy to obtain an ID then sure

But massive cities with millions of people have barely as many or fewer places to obtain an ID as a city of 50,000 so it's unfair to minorities and people who live in cities

Some people see a pharmacy transaction as the perfect opportunity to segue into political discourse.

And let's be fair - voter ID required or not, making it easy to obtain some kind of ID is a very good idea either way, just because having ID is very useful in general.

For real, I'm actually cool with ID being issued to everyone for free, but they deliberately make it a hassle, not to mention these current voting bills being discussed are far more comprehensive in their suppression than "asking for ID".

I had to pay 90 bucks for a drivers license. shit was wack.

I think it was free to register to vote, though.

They'll find every way to make a poll tax.

Reminds me of interviewing Trumpers for job interviews... they uninvited always, always brought that shit up, with the obvious intent that they were fishing for validation or a fight. Quick and easy way to toss your resume into the garbage bin. Way to show that you can't go five minutes without bringing up politics in a work setting. They're flat out obsessed, they always have to talk about it.

I've never dealt with that with anyone else before. Even Bernie stans and AOC feet lickers can at least carry on conversations as if they're not one-trick ponies.

Though the worst line to date with an interviewee remains, "this isn't one of those hospitals that perform abortions now, is it?" Red flag city.

As for the topic at hand, voter ID laws always go with restrictions on poll access and DMV locations coincidentally in areas with larger minority population. Gee, I wonder why that may be...?

This. If they made it super easy to get your ID no matter where/who you are, then it makes perfect sense. But the way it is now is blatant vote manipulation by making it unnecessarily difficult for certain kinds of people (AKA everyone who might vote Democrat) to get their ID.
