Yesterday - Approval Process took the crown for the worst pact of punishment! Nothing hurts like seeing a Boon that would be perfect for your build and have it locked because of this pact.

Today - Another write-in day! I mean, there are just too many options and I can see almost everyone getting a vote.

So pick up to 2 character you find the most attractive.

I missed the last day, but how did Routine Inspection not win? It's blatantly the nastiest pact of punishment by pretty much any metric. Approval Process isn't very fun but one level of it isn't actually that awful (two is, though).

Yeah, Routine Inspection is also pretty rough. But personally, well, the later mirror perks were unlocked later anyway and one level isn't too bad, you just need to be luckier or grab the appropriate keepsake.

I think the first level of routine inspection is slightly worse than the first level of approval process, mainly because rerolling boons is really really useful especially in conjunction with underworld customs (which is a good source of 2 heat). Seeing your boon options get crossed out sucks, but first level of routine inspection just straight up gives you less boons, and less powerful ones, which does a fair bit of damage.

Second level of routine inspection is basically +1 hard labor/+1 calisthenics program/+1 convenience fee but for only 2 heat, which sucks.

Third and fourth levels of routine inspection are nearly unspeakable and the fact that they're only 2 heat each is an insult. Second level of approval process is awful, but it's not THIS bad.

Artemis and Achilles are most attractive

Worst pact of punishment to me would've been Heightened Security. Too hard to keep up with all the traps, and especially rough to try doing Asphodel when magma zaps your lifebar that fast, and ESPECIALLY rough doing harder version of bone hydra with that

I didn't consider Routine Inspection yesterday because it just sticks in my mind as even more of a big challenge mode option than the others. It's among the hardest and not appropriately costed but it makes sense to me why you'd pick it. I have no interest in it beyond a level or two but I'm not gonna call it the worst. Approval Proccess just sucks!

This was the first pact of punishment I gravitated towards with my first few clears but a good bit after abandoned it all costs. The risk is just way too high despite the basically 0 time cost.

Really never had any problems with magma, but just inadvertently hitting traps in later stages with a momentary lapse in judgment late is way too punishing. Especially as you get more comfortable wtih the game and start avoiding health upgrades in favor of just getting things to do more damage.
