Is the emphasis more on action, or exploring and RPGing?

From what I've seen it's basically like Bayonetta or DMC, so I don't know if it's your kinda thing snu.

I've seen video footage. I wanted an opinion from somebody who had actually played it.

The main gameplay focus is action combat, Platinum style. Combos, setting up enemies for big damage, that kind of thing. The main hook in this compared to other Platinum games is the use of a "partner" being called a Legion as a kind of "second" fighter.

Between action segments are several "police case" related exploration segments where you can do side cases, find evidence, track people, eavesdrop, etc. There's also some light stealth stuff as well.

Emphasis on action and exploration. It doesn't feel like Bayonetta, it's much more ground based.

If I had to compare it to something, it would be the original God of War or maybe Pandora's Tower.

Yeah there's no jump button in the game, although there is potential for having your Legion take you into the air.

This sounds surprisingly fresh. I might give it a go.

It's a character action game similar to Bayonetta or DMC. The controls are a little rough around the edges but it flows well enough to not be an issue. It's gimmick of essentially controlling the positioning of a second character on most fights is cool. There are detective segments of sorts since you're a cop in the game, and they're alright--much better than I was expecting tbh, but a bit basic.

It's worth the money if you're a fan of the genre imo.
