Can't even leave the house without permission, an explanation of where/why I'm going, and the EXACT moment I should be arriving home. I have to text when I arrive, and when I'm leaving, and if I'm late at all they want to send the cops after me. You might think this is just overprotection, but the reason the cops would get involved would be because they'd report the car stolen and have me arrested. They pretend to want me to have a life of my own, then undercut and sabotage every effort I make. It goes so far as to even harm themselves just to keep me under their thumb. We have 2 homes on our property, one for them, and one for me, instead they've moved into mine. Back when I caught Covid, at the first symptom, I told them that I'd relocate to the empty one to try and prevent all of us from catching it. So, they locked it up. With no where else to go, and my place full of people, we all got sick. Master Kazuya posted... Thankfully, we got our own apartment recently and things are starting to take a turn for the better. I know a bit about your history and how fucked up your family is, but you are literally the one in the position of power here. Cut them off and move the fuck out. Actually, since I suddenly retired earlier this year, that's less a joke than it used to be. They plan to move out after my pop retires next year and I wouldn't mind living with them until the end. Even when I was a kid my parents weren't all that involved in my life.
