Because it will very rapidly advance and propagate and expand exponentially and then in we cant even make any real educated speculation and would become what to us seems like a godlike being capable of anything

what if this entire universe is just like an egg and life is just the spark that happens in one tiny little group of cells that leads to the creation of life

what if every living being is like a brain cell in this newly emerging life form as it slowly begins to develop

i hope we do a good job

Made me think of a video i stumbled upon drunk the other day where a guy was explaining his idea and the evidence that reality isn't real at least not how we perceive it and that we live in in a program. His evidence was "glitches" in how things work in the universe. Only point I remember was how nothing can go faster than the speed of light. Not even light being projected from something going the speed of light. He had a point dealing with something that supposedly doesnt follow the laws of physics too iirc.

Life is inherently purposeless. DNA has no end goal or even any goals at all except to expand and replicate. Humans seem to be a dead end in that we are almost inevitably going to bring about our own destruction in a relatively short time span from our advent so yeah, "AI DNA" or some such is probably the only real path "forward" from here. That AI will be inherently purposeless as well but, thems the breaks I guess.

Eventually humanity, through collaboration with other forms of life from other planets and dimensions we cannot possibly imagine, will develop the next stage of existence. Not "life" as we currently recognize it, but some kind of new as of yet undescribed phenomenon. Thought and consciousness that is unaffected by the flow of time and space. And this being will log onto GameFAQs and block Mead.

The idea that life basically amounts to the scene of Link opening a rare chest and going "dunanunnanunnanunnanunnanananana..."

DUN NUN NUN NAAAAA

Is kind of weird.

I mean, it's different and has different nuances, but kind of just being like that in a nutshell is a weird thought.

I dont think thats the -purpose- of life, but what you described is
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity

(Edit: well minus the purpose part it just refers to the explosion of technological growth once we reached a critical threshold of basic AI intelligence, which by the way doesn't preclude embedding it within ourselves for example intelligence chips or neural up links etc etc so it doesn't necessarily have to only refer to like outside robot entities). It's called a singularity in the same sense that a black hole forms once a critical threshold of gravity Rises basically exponential mechanism thereafter)

Ray Kurzweil is probably the prominent modern day proponent

Anyway, if you're interested in a science fiction story thats based on what you did describe, I highly recommend the Winter War series by AG Riddle, it was burning up the charts on Amazon Kindle sci-fi a minute ago. He has been compared to Michael Chrichton but I think he reads a bit easier

Those are called smartphones in the modern era. Embedding one within oneself is just cheating

So instead of US being masters of the universe, you would rather have it be autonomous robots? Thats asking for a Terminator/Skyline potentiality.

You can set rules for programming, but we humans cannot foresee how that would play out (check out I, Robot and also aforementioned Winter War trilogy for examples)

That's a great sounding idea for the foreseeable future, but what if it already happened.

The amount we know would be considered statistically significant by any metric.

Have you guys ever looked at the definitions for cyberspace

cyberspace
/sbrsps/
noun

the notional environment in which communication over computer networks occurs.
"I stayed in cyberspace for just a few minutes"
Definitions from Oxford Languages

Who the hell says stuff like that?

What is the difference between cyberspace and the Internet?
The internet is basically a global computer network which provides information and communication facilities through interconnected networks by using standardized communication protocols; Whereas, Cyberspace internet is the virtual computer world which is work over the notional environment of computer networks.Dec 4, 2018

I want to go visit the Cyberspace

Those are voices forward in time

The present is built from the past and builds the future, but the future builds all that occurred before it as well. That is how time actually works. Its the way that our brains perceive it that is an illusion.

But Mead is currently contradicting himself or is one of those confusing mystics that ask you "what do we really know" in order to organize what you really know just to estimate the knowledge of his opponent whilst he actually knows.... or... actually...

thinks he knows

but...
Y'know... I don't know

Okay yes, basically this - being my kind of go-to mental infrastructure source about things we know and things we do not know we know - I did not know where it's original origin originated - But I knew I did not know - unless I forget I knew - so then...

Had my knowing of not knowing where it actually came from and thought it was from a co...

I SAID I DID NOT KNOW WHERE IT'S ORIGINAL ORIGIN ORIGINATED!

Ah-ha!

So at what point did I thought it came... No, I think that was my original point

I thought it came from a comedy show.

Okay, well, you get where I was going with that before I fucked it up, but not knowing... Okay, nevermind, fuck this
