I am a PC gamer. Now that console all have RTX and RTX graphics card is impossible to find nowadays, it feels like PC is starting to hold back developers from fully abandoning baked lighting in games im favor for RTX (iirc which is a lot less work than baked lighting since you just put light source and the computer do all the work).

Steam said RTX owners are like less than 2% of their concurrent users or something?

RTX cards are somewhere around 10-15%, too lazy to count exactly.

Consoles are suffering from shortages as well, so a lot of devs right now wouldn't put games up as current gen exclusives, since you earn more simply by putting games on last gen too.

Fair. They kept naking ps3 games until a year or 2 after ps4 were released

wtf happened to computer parts anyways? Is used to like to get the $300-350 tier card yet the current equivalent seems to be at least $600 and not available anywhere.

Back then it was common for people to do placebo shit like have 2 graphics cards in their builds too

The console AMD parts are babby mode compared to RTX pc parts

It's really only a problem for people who want to be on the bleeding edge of gaming graphics, which honestly can only get so much better.

It's not going to really matter to many people until the technology starts getting cheaper, or more accessible at the very least.

Gaming as a whole hasn't exactly been growing as fast as the technology it uses to make them look better has. AAA devs push out stagnant ideas annually and they should be held accountable for holding gaming back in equal measure.
