Shit you're right. Everyone that works in my area for the company must just not look at their paychecks and visit the same subreddits you accuse me of visiting. Maybe they gave us huge raises and we lost the email.

The healthcare company I work for paying us less than fast food and requiring a national license to do it. The company that cuts hours regularly while demanding more and more work. The company that wants our pharmacists to be glorified cashiers. The company that will fight as hard as it can to give as few people as small raises as possible

I kinda figure that by now, most of them have realised the only difference between the two major parties in this regard is what they say, not what they actually do, and that the working conditions etc are going to continue as-is regardless of which party gets into power. As such, that's just not an issue that they take into account when deciding who to vote for.

some cashiers got 10 hours this week, when they're usually getting 30+

3 years ago, we were doing 300 Rxs a day with 4 technicians and a pharmacist plus overlap. Now it's almost 500 Rxs a day with 2 technicians and a pharmacist with no overlap. And the best suggestion corporate offers us is for the 2 technicians to never leave the production area and leave the pharmacist to do everything else. I'm sure the customers and doctors would be thrilled with waiting 30 minutes on the phone while the lines wrap around the building.

Doesn't help they base hours on the previous year and literally no one in charge took a second to remember a pandemic happened last year. They just see numbers and go "Welp they don't lie."

I'm pretty much at my breaking point. Everyone is. I'm considering my options. I have some connections. Heck, my pharmacist-in-charge is literally researching stepping out on his own or taking us all elsewhere.

There have already been walkout quits at some stores in the area in recent months. They're making things too stressful and it's going to kill a patient eventually.

In my view, while the right is out to screw us, it offers hope. The left will spend trillions on drug addicts, NEETs, reparations, diversity initiatives, and more long before they even think that the guy working hard at retail or in a factory and trying to live responsibly for the comminity might be deserving of more money in their pocket.

It's basically a slim chance for something vs enough experience with leftist government and businesses to see they also will just knock you to the back of the line whilw lying to you. Yes my former bosses were Trump hating liberals and they still didn't give a shit about their employees.

Mock it all you want, but it was my experience. I am in Alberta and used to work in disabled care funded through the government, Some years back when our far left NDP party go it we thought the gates were open to more funding as it was in their platform. What we got was years of reviews, extra bureaucracy, and over 6 years without a raise until they were voted back out. The left can screw people over just as much as the right, and some prefer one empty promise to another.
