No, stupid customer, I'd have help if corporate wasn't shaving off hours every other week while the workload persists or increases. We can barely slap together hours for the 5 full-time technicians on the payroll. Last thing we need is more bodies.

I'm airing out dirty laundry to customers at this point. Yes, I am complaining again, CE. It's so unfair. Everyone I know just spends all day getting more jaded and complaining about the higher-ups now. They don't respect anyone as a human being. Morale is under the toilet.

At one point today, we were doing 5 prescriptions an hour. We average 450 a day, so do the math on how that might be an unsuccessful rate.

Customers have noticed the crunch. Phone calls are suddenly sitting on hold for 15-20 minutes at a time. Lines are down the aisles and around the building. Either everyone has gotten super lazy at the exact same time or our number-crunching regional managers might not have any fucking idea what they're talking about.

The problem is that corporate is trying tk get more yachts by lowering hours. It happens at convenient store all the time. Corporations only see dollar signs and don't understand how it's made.

Yep cause then they get to fire them, blame it on them and then over work the others and make even more money. To them, your jsut a fuckin robot and an escape goat. Gone are the days of a business actually caring about their employees. They are few and hard between.

They'd get rid of pharmacists completely if they could. Why pay around $100K/year for one when you can pay nationally certified technicians less an hour than you would for them to flip burgers? That's how much a healthcare corporation values patient health.

Customer Service/Store Support(my department) is basically in a constant state of collapse at my Whole Foods. They mostly hire cashiers, who are mostly not great at their jobs and/or smart enough to realize what an oppressive hellhole this company is and don't last. The cashier assistants they hire are almost always terrible(but then, they've hired four in the past year, one of which is ok and one of which is great. One is bad, and the fourth was so terrible they made my job slightly more annoying), and they've managed to hire a single maintenance team member who quit after one day.
They have two maintenance team members(they need like four: I and the full-time cashier assistant[the only one] that they just fired have been working half our shifts there for the past year): a sweet, hard-working Haitian lady in her 50s and a bitter, moody white dude in his 40s, and they don't get along. I doubt management is aware, because management is aware of precious little aside from the attendance policy and dress code.
They once wrote up a team member for not wearing socks, even though it's not in the GIG. Hours later, they told her it was in a byline in an unpublished supplemental.

But gee, I wonder why no one wants to work here?
