Personally Im not a fan of the ACAB term. I think its important to remember that there are cops just trying to help people and communities in their job duties, and they are overshadowed by all the corruption of the system and the unions and the racist cops that are essentially just organized crime.

This video isnt exactly graphic but it does portray the loss of life of both an officer and a suspect so please know that beforehand if you decide to watch it. Thankfully a neighbor tackled the abuser when they did or who knows how things may have turned out.

im not saying that the instant someone signs up to be a cop, they become an awful irredeemable person but every single cop in the United States willingly signed up to be a tool the ruling class uses to keep the undesirables down so fuck all of them

yeah shit was sad. Jimmy didnt stand a chance. Dude went from being surrounded by gangbangers to being a police officer. Unfortunately he was gunned downed by a mad man. Glad the boy made it though. Someone in another topic of this was saying the guy was executed by the other officer, may be true since last we saw the suspect he was laying on the ground befor ethe officer opened fire while the dude was on the ground.

someone has to enforce laws

yes it is true that our law enforcement needs to be restructured from the ground up so it is not oppressive, but also we need people to respond to heinous crimes or society will break down into anarchy

i sometimes see cops that just come to neighborhoods and talk to people, they arent investigating anything in particular they are just talking to people finding out what kind of problems they have in their area and seeing if there are ways they can help. As far as I can tell cops like that are good people

the trouble is that when you interact with police you have no idea which kind you are getting and its understandable to assume the worst

You don't know if that guy was a good cop.

The loss of life is deplorable and I'm glad the maniac who started all of this is dead, but just because someone got shot doing their job doesn't make him automatically good.

remember that he had a gun and had already fatally shot someone

I cant know what was going through the second cops head but I could see him maybe just shooting him out of fear that he might start shooting again, possibly out of just self preservation after seeing his partner go down like that

its ok law enforcement has a ton of things wrong with it and a lot needs to be done to fix things, but it can be a tricky subject to discuss because lives are being ruined all the time by cops and there are countless people who are just blindly insisting that there isnt a problem

I really think that there needs to be some federal mandate that cities and towns need to rewrite the rules of their departments from the ground up structured in a way that allows them to respond to crime but also not oppress people unfairly
